What age should your child know ABCs song?

Most children begin learning the 26 letters of the alphabet when they are 2 - 3 years old but may learn their alphabet song much earlier.  Singing songs to reinforce letter concepts can be a way to help familiarize your child with the names of letters early, even before they can recognize all of their letters.  Letter fluency is one of the foundational building blocks for reading. Have short, fun practice sessions with your child regularly, sing the alphabet song and work with flash cards to reinforce letter fluency.
