How do you teach division facts?

Division is the opposite or inverse of multiplication. A division problem is a process of finding how many groups of a number are in another number. Use objects to illustrate that division divides a number into equal parts.  Begin with the numbers your child already understands such as numbers that can be divided by 2’s, 5’s or 10’s and build on their understanding as they advance to more difficult equations.  The daily use of flashcards and the division table will reinforce the facts they have already learned and help them progress.
