What number should a 4 year old count to?

Each child will develop at their own pace.  Some 4 year olds can count to 100 while other children are working on counting from 1 - 10.  Practice math skills daily with your child and help them to progress at their own pace.  Use flash cards, play games, and practice counting everyday objects.  Practice using flash cards to help your child recognize numbers and have them touch and manipulate objects so they build contextual knowledge of counting.  Send them on a scavenger hunt for a certain number of objects. Soon, your child will be learning to count to 10, 100 and beyond.
